With many years experience consulting within the Logistics and Supply Chain sector, The Supply Chain Consulting Group consultant team members have different levels of practical and operational experience ranging from 10 to 30 years plus. Since 2004 the team of specialist consultants has completed work for many distinguished clients across a range of sectors from SMEs to global corporations including supermarkets, fashion retailers, FMCG and industrial manufacturers, wholesalers and third-party logistics companies. In addition they have worked with a number of charities and public sector organisations including local authorities and several police forces across the UK.

MARKETING EXECUTIVE
Alexandra, is responsible for the SCCG Digital marketing campaign and associated activities for the company. She is responsible for the website and for the creation of videos, infographics and content creation, as well as projects, news and case studies. In addition Alex is a certified HubSpot CRM User and an Adobe Certified Associate in Visual Design using Adobe Photoshop with working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Spark, Gimp, Canva, WordPress CMS, Hootsuite and HubSpot.
Alex has a BA(Hons) degree in Advertising and Marketing from Coventry University and has completed a ‘Copywriting for PR’ course at the Charted Institute of Marketing.
Gideon, Has over 26 years’ Global Supply Chain, Logistics and Materials Handling industry experience.
He was employed at a Senior Management Level throughout Europe with both manufacturers and Global 3rd Party Logistics Providers prior to establishing Gideon Hillman Consulting in 2004; which is now part of The Supply Chain Consulting Group; one of the leading Logistics and Supply Chain consultancies in the UK. His sector expertise throughout the UK and Europe includes FMCG, Retail, Food Production and Processing, e-commerce, Wholesale Networks, 3rd Party Logistics operations, Automotive Production Logistics, Utilities and Construction and General Manufacturing.
Gideon is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Logistics and Transport; a Fellow of The Chartered Management Institute, Fellow of The Institute of Consulting, an Affiliate Member of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) and a former Board Member of UKWA (United Kingdom Warehousing Association).
Craig, Has diverse experience in Supply Chain having worked for major logistics service providers in the UK and abroad, prior to co-founding GO Supply Chain Consulting in 2013, and now part of The Supply Chain Consulting Group. He has held management positions within logistics service providers working directly in 12 countries across Europe on a variety of projects from operations benchmarking/design to supply chain strategy. His experience includes the FMCG; Retail; Automotive; Industrial sectors. A graduate of Durham University, he is a member of the CILT and has a broad range of expertise in logistics and supply chain operations with key areas of expertise are in European logistics service providers transport optimisation, supply chain network strategy design and warehouse design.
Gavin, Is an experienced and versatile Supply Chain and Logistics consultant with over 22 years’ experience. Gavin started his career in 1996 in third party logistics, holding roles in business development and operations before moving into consultancy in 2004 and subsequently staring up GO Supply Chain Consulting in 2013, now part of The Supply Chain Consulting Group; one of the leading Logistics and Supply Chain consultancies in the UK.
His clients range from medium sized companies to global corporations including Supermarkets, Retailers, FMCG and Industrial Manufacturers, Wholesalers and Third-Party Logistics companies. He works in the UK and internationally.
His strongest subject expertise is in Distribution Network Strategy, DC/Warehouse Design and Optimisation, Cost to Serve and Cost/Benefit Analysis, Inventory Optimisation and Automation, including systems specification, selection and implementation.
Gavin is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and has an MSc. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University.
Sue joined Gideon Hillman Consulting as a Director in 2005, now part of The Supply Chain Consulting Group; one of the leading Logistics and Supply Chain consultancies in the UK. Sue is responsible for the accounts and administration functions and the office support personnel within the company. Prior to joining Gideon Hillman Consulting Sue had spent many years in Senior HR roles within the Private and Public sectors (both permanent and contract) and previously a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development. A highly motivated person, She has been instrumental in the development of Gideon Hillman Consulting for over 12 years and now continues to provide the same level of expertise and drive to the development of The Supply Chain Consulting Group.
Marta holds an MSc. in Global Supply Chain Management from Middlesex University. She joined the company in February 2017 and manages the analyst team in the SCCG Slough office (close to Heathrow Airport) and is responsible for client data management and the analyst team outputs. She is skilled in the analysis of large and complex data sets using Access, Excel and PowerPivot/PowerQuery.
Marta uses proprietary/custom modelling tools and third-party software such as PTV to evaluate alternative supply chain and logistics scenarios and provide high quality, well presented and insightful outputs. Her consulting experience includes logistics network strategy projects for major manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers and warehouse design projects in FMCG, Retail and Fashion.
Phillip Has over 30 years’ experience in Logistics and Warehousing covering all aspects of Materials Management, Procurement, Warehouse Management, UK & European Logistics, Supply Chain Optimisation and Quality Management. He has significant experience in Vendor Management, Vendor Support Operations, Inbound/outbound Logistics, Warehouse, Distribution and e-fulfilment Centre design to optimise pick rates and efficiency as well as 8 years Facilities and Engineering management experience. He is an expert in Warehouse and Distribution Centre facility layouts and optimisation (including resource planning) and WMS integration to optimise pick rates and efficiency and provides our clients with detailed layout designs and full racking and equipment requirement specifications utilising our in-house CAD design facilities, combined with his significant experience including the development of complete Standard Operating Procedures. Phillip is Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport and has worked on over 100 projects for a range of clients. He also has significant public sector experience.
Kenneth Is a Strategic and Operational Supply Chain Consultant with over 25 years’ experience in developing and optimising logistics operations. He has extensive experience using advanced modelling techniques to develop logistics strategies and operational improvements and is effective at engaging with key stakeholders at all levels ensuring that he delivers real benefits to client organisations. His key skills are Logistics Strategy Development and Operational Review, Analysis and Improvements, Supply Chain and Logistics Network Modelling and Strategic Design, Business Case Development, Stakeholder Engagement, Solution Implementation and Warehouse and Distribution Centre Optimisation including design, workflows, layouts, process, automation, control systems, and WMS specification and integration. Kenneth is highly proficient in the development of spread sheet based simulation tools and decision support models and regularly supports clients with warehouse planning and strategic transport network design. His sector experience includes Retail, General Manufacturing, Wholesale, Third Party Logistics and Distribution, Automotive, Food Production, and Life Sciences having supported clients across the UK, Europe, USA, Asia and Australasia. Kenneth is a Member of the Institute of Logistics with a BSc. (First Class) in Pure Mathematics & Theoretical Physics and a Masters in Operational Research.
Patryk holds a Masters in Manufacturing & Production Engineering Management from the University of Hertfordshire (including Operations & Supply Chain Management Modules). Patryk has experience in the use of CAD, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPivot systems; and has previously worked in the Logistics sector for the Marks & Spencer Warehousing Operations Department -Focusing on Clothing & Home Products.
Ian, is both a Strategic and Operational Logistics Consultant with over 25 years’ experience in developing and optimising logistics operations. He has extensive and significant experience in Automation having run many projects involving the design, procurement, installation, commissioning and testing of highly automated warehouses and production facilities. He has also successfully set-up, both in-house and outsourced automation maintenance contracts.
His key skills are Logistics Strategy Development and Operational Review, Strategic Organisational and Network Design, Business Case Development, Solution Implementation and Warehouse and Distribution Centre Optimisation including design, workflows, layouts, process, automation, control systems, and WMS specification and integration.
His sector experience includes Grocery & General Merchandise Retail, Food Production & Processing, FMCG, Ecommerce, Technology, Automotive, Third Party Logistics and Parcel Delivery sectors.
He is effective at engaging with key stakeholders and integrating quickly and with all levels of the client’s business so ensuring that he delivers real benefits to client organisations. He brings wide cross-sector experience to bear on all projects with rigorous analysis and innovative thinking. He has supported clients and projects in UK, Europe, USA, and Asia and deals very well in all cultural environments.
Ian is an apprentice trained Electrical Controls Engineer, holds an MSc. from Cranfield School of Management in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and has held senior roles in Daifuku, CHEP, DHL, Amazon Logistics and Honeywell Integrated.
Kenneth, is a Transport and Distribution Modeller and Solutions Designer, highly experienced in the strategic development of supply chains and the tactical design of logistics operations as well as distribution optimisation.
Kenneth has worked with SCCG since 2010 and has a background in contract logistics design with several major 3PLs, and has over 18 years of experience specialising in simulation modelling, most especially transport resource analysis, transport modelling, strategic network design, detailed operational transport schedules, depot locations and boundary definitions as well as own vehicle fleet vs. contractor optimisation.
Kenneth is one of the UK’s leading users of the DiPS transport planning software, which enables him to conduct both high level and/or highly detailed optimisation analysis in determining our clients transport fleet and infrastructure requirements. This includes both the size and type of resources required, and the optimal geographic positioning of the infrastructure such as warehouses and DCs etc…
In addition to transport resource analysis, Kenneth is highly proficient in the development of spread sheet based simulation tools and decision support models, and regularly supports clients with warehouse and production planning.
Clients that he has worked with include DX Group, Pointons, Greencore Group, Farmfoods, DHL, Exel, Greene King, Morrisons, TDG, Wincanton, Monkfield Nutrition, Epwin Group, IKEA and many more.
Tim Is a logistics professional with nearly 30 years of experience in the third party logistics industry. Tim has a sound combination of practical, technical and strategic management experience, gained at the highest level within major organisations. With significant solution design expertise, Tim is a very hands on consultant who can combine practical operational know how with up to date analytical and modelling techniques. Tim has worked across a range of sectors including drinks logistics, food services, automotive, industrial, newsprint and pharmaceuticals. Tim is a graduate of the University of Plymouth and has spent a significant amount of time in mainland Europe and Ireland, as well as the UK mainland, and has completed projects in the US and as far afield as Japan.
Rachael Maintains and manages the administration functions within the company. Since joining the team in 2011 she has been fundamental in the development of all office processes and ensuring that they are followed. She has been responsible for developing the ISO 2001 Quality process and maintaining the company’s Quality Accreditation and achieving the current ISO 2001:2018 Standard. Rachael is responsible for admin support for our directors and consultants, including providing project support ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed, formatted, and processed correctly ensuring our customer’s and client’s needs are met.
Ashley is a former member of Sainsbury’s Logistics Strategy team, spending eight years managing and contributing to a wide range of complex change projects, including warehouse process analysis, depot capacity maximisation, network strategy and transport optimisation.
Ashley specialises in warehouse design, high-level and low-level automation for traditional and online fulfilment operations and Warehouse Management System (WMS) specification and implementation.
He has significant experience in a variety of complex projects working with integrators, architects, developers and stakeholders to create scalable and cost-efficient operations.
His experience has included taking ownership of the design and business case for the Sainsbury’s Latest Generation Clothing Online fulfilment centre from concept to approval. He has also worked as a Project Manager for a Factory to Shelf retail initiative using Six Sigma methodologies to map depot inbound processes and analyse supplier adherence.
Ashley holds a BSc in International Management with American Business Studies from The University of Manchester and has a Green Belt Six Sigma certification.
